You Do Not Have an Automation Problem. You Have a Starting Problem.

April 6, 2026

You have a Zapier account. Maybe you even pay for it. You signed up because someone told you it would change your business. Automate the busywork. Save hours every week. Focus on what matters.

And then you logged in, stared at the dashboard, and had absolutely no idea where to start.

So you closed the tab. And you have been manually doing the same things every week since.

This is not an automation problem. This is a starting problem. And it is the most common operational bottleneck I see with founders who are technically savvy enough to know they need automation but too buried in daily work to actually build it.

The "I will automate that someday" cycle.

It goes like this. You manually send a welcome email to a new client. While you are doing it, you think "I should automate this." You make a mental note. Then another client task comes in and the mental note evaporates. Next week, you manually send another welcome email. The thought comes back. The cycle continues.

Multiply that by every manual process in your business and you have dozens of "I should automate that" moments per week, none of which ever become actual automations.

Why tutorials do not fix this.

You have probably watched YouTube videos about Zapier. Maybe you took a course. The problem is not that you do not understand how automation works conceptually. The problem is that building automations requires stepping out of the daily grind long enough to map your workflows, identify the trigger points, figure out which tools need to connect, and test the whole thing.

That takes uninterrupted focused time. Which is the one thing you do not have when you are running everything manually.

The 5 automations that matter most.

After building 200+ automated workflows across dozens of businesses, I can tell you that most founders do not need 50 automations. They need 5. The right 5.

New lead notification. When someone fills out your contact form, the right people get notified instantly and a task gets created in your project management tool. No more leads sitting in an inbox for 3 days.

Client onboarding trigger. When a contract is signed or a payment is made, the entire onboarding sequence fires: welcome email, intake form, calendar invite, project setup. No manual steps.

Recurring task automation. The things you do every week or every month that are exactly the same every time. Status reports, invoice reminders, check-in emails. Set them up once and never think about them again.

Data sync between tools. When something changes in your CRM, it updates in your project management tool. When a new row appears in your spreadsheet, it creates a task. Your tools should talk to each other without you playing middleman.

Failed payment or missed deadline alerts. When something goes wrong, you should know immediately. Not three days later when you happen to check.

Five automations. The right five. That is where most businesses should start.

But you still need someone to build them.

And that is the gap. You know what needs to be automated. You might even know which tools to use. But you do not have the time or the headspace to sit down and build it. And every week you do not, the manual work compounds.

There are two ways to fix this gap, depending on whether you want to DIY or hand it off.

If you want the plan: the AI Power Hour is one hour, $197. We walk through your business and I tell you the 3 automations to set up first, the tools to use, and the steps to ship them. Plus 30 days of email support so you actually do it.

If you want me to build it: the Operations Triage is $497 and we pick the highest-leverage automation in your business and I build it in 10 days. No more "I should automate that" mental notes that evaporate by Thursday.
